Winnie Lieu is the General Manager of Downstream Strategy at Chevron, where she leads development of global business strategy and emerging business initiatives for manufacturing, lubricants, chemicals and renewables. With over 20 years of experience in the Energy business, Winnie’s diverse career includes roles in engineering, refining operations, technology development, new venture investments, strategic planning, marketing and sales including P&L accountability for $800+ million revenue retail fuels business. She has led biofuels technology commercialization, bio-feedstock strategy and scaled biofuels co-processing technology from research feasibility through to successful refinery production of first ever, commercially sold renewable gasoline and diesel at Chevron, and was awarded a US Patent for biofuels processing. Winnie’s key strengths are building strong relationships and being a change agent in her industry using her broad breadth of experience and connections. Winnie holds a B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering and M.Eng. in Engineering Management from the University of Alberta. also earned MBAs from Queen’s University in Canada and Cornell University in the US. Winnie is originally from Edmonton, Alberta (Canada) and currently resides in the San Francisco Bay Area.
