Powell Carman, Co-Leader of Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner’s internationally ranked Agribusiness and Food Practice, counsels clients on mergers and acquisitions, venture capital investments, strategic alliances, licenses, commercial agreements and other business issues.

Powell’s legal practice at BCLP, built over 20 years, focuses largely on clients in the agribusiness, agtech, food and life sciences industries. His transactional experience includes substantial acquisitions and divestitures, as well as strategic investments, for national and international agtech, biotech and agribusiness companies and he has been included in Best Lawyers in America for Corporate Law for a number of years.

Powell is a graduate of the University of Missouri, and an active member of the St. Louis agribusiness community, serving as President of both the St. Louis Agribusiness Club and the Rotary Skyway Farm Foundation. He also manages his family farm in northeast Missouri.
