Dan Phillips is a Managing Director with Cultivian Sandbox Ventures, a Chicago-based venture capital firm investing in food & agriculture technology startups.

Cultivian Sandbox leads early-stage investments in innovative companies commercializing solutions across the value chain of food & agriculture, including crop production, animal health, aquaculture, food safety and traceability, and novel food ingredients.

Dan is a Board Member of Full Harvest, Geltor, HarvestPort, and Phylagen. Prior to Cultivian Sandbox, Dan spent several years investing in health IT startups at Sandbox Industries. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology at the University of Michigan.
